Jessica
As a competitive kettlebell athlete, coach, gym owner, and fitness instructor, Jessica has spent more than a decade in environments that cultivate inner strength and physical awareness. She is passionate about teaching others to harness and nurture those skills both in the studio and in daily life. Her practice includes guided bodyweight movements, muscle activations, and flows to increase mobility, endurance and energy. The result is a holistic approach that balances form, core strength, and joint health, while improving physical stamina and mental focus.
When in class with Jessica, expect focused mobility work and nuanced movement and form. Each session is designed with targeted training and recovery time, promoting hormonal equilibrium and reducing the risk of injury. Strength and mindfulness pair seamlessly, making efficient work of movements that can be adapted to each student’s needs in real time. Bodies will explore new movement patterns (and refine known ‘familiar’ ones) to increase physical awareness, posture, and core stability.
Jessica has been certified in the Tacfit, Flowfit, Circular Strength Training (CST) and Intuflow systems. In her field of Kettlebell Sport, Jessica is a two-time 'Master of Sport'. She has competed internationally, is a former world record holder, and has been fortunate to work with many leading fitness and coaches in the industry today. Jessica co-founded the Texas Kettlebell Academy in 2013, and founded StrongMap in 2019. She has been a coach and an athlete in incredible fitness communities from Austin, Texas to Maputo, Mozambique and is excited to now have a nest in Washington, DC.
Studio Waiver
As the student taking classes or workshops at the studio, via livestream or by video (the “Classes”) with Circle Yoga Cooperative (CYC), I understand that the Classes include physical movements and exertion. As is the case with any physical activity, the risk of injury, even serious or disabling, is always present and cannot be entirely eliminated. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult with a physician prior to and regarding my participation in the Classes. I represent that I am in good health and physical condition and I have no medical condition which would prevent my full participation in the Classes. In addition, when in the Classes, I will make the instructor aware of any medical conditions or physical limitations before class begins. If I am pregnant, become pregnant, or I am post-natal or post-surgical, my signature below verifies that I have my physician’s approval to participate. In consideration of being permitted to participate in the Classes I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries, or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the program. In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the Classes, I expressly irrevocably release and waive any claims that I have now or may have hereafter for any reason against Circle Yoga LLC, its owners, employees, and independent contractors, for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in a Class.
