Joey

Joey (he/him) began his yoga practice right here at Circle Yoga when he was 18 years old. He has been teaching for over a decade and practicing for longer. An avid student of yoga, Joey draws on a variety of styles to create intelligent classes with a lighthearted touch. In his classes, he aims to encourage students to deepen their somatic awareness and find a greater sense of presence and connection with themselves. A trained massage therapist, Joey brings extensive knowledge of anatomy and kinesiology to every class.

Joey continues to expand his offerings through the continuing study of somatic meditation, somatic movement, and the scholarly tradition of Rajanaka Tantra.

He is delighted to be back in Washington DC.

	Free Yoga for Feds This free class offer is available for one-time use and limited to one per person. It is valid for 14 days and can be used for in-studio or online attendance. Those eligible include federal employees who have been terminated in 2025, current federal employees whose positions are in danger or are on unexpected administrative leave, and others (such as contractors and NGO staff) whose jobs have been eliminated or are in jeopardy because of federal program cuts. If your financial circumstances have been impacted by these changes at the federal level, you can choose any class on our schedule, reserve your space in advance using the Free Yoga for Feds pass, and join us in the studio or online.
