Tamara

Tamara has been practicing yoga for more than 30 years and teaching for 19 years. She has found that yoga can be used as an effective tool to manage stress, improve flexibility, and sustain strength. With a heartwarming approach, she uses her knowledge of yoga to connect physical health with emotional well-being. Tamara has practiced a variety of yoga styles over the years, including Hatha, Ashtanga, Anusara, and Amrit. She received her teaching certification through the Amrit Yoga Institute. Her experience as a dancer with a cultural arts troupe also informs her yoga instruction. Tamara has adapted yoga for diverse populations such as seniors, youth, people living with chronic illness, and athletes.

What to Expect in Tamara’s Class

Students can expect to experience a variety of yoga poses, breathing exercises and mindfulness practices in a manner that fosters a connection of the body and mind. Each class includes clear instruction on breath and alignment of the poses. Modifications and gentle adjustments are offered to enhance the experience. Tamara focuses on creating a safe, engaging, and welcoming space that enables beginner and experienced students to explore yoga in a way that is deeply satisfying, relaxing, and fun.
