Blankets and bolsters and sandbags, oh my! Drop in or join for all 6 classes in this in-person series designed to calm and restore your body and mind. Restorative yoga is a nourishing, meditative practice where the body is supported by props in each pose. Poses are held for several minutes to encourage continued release and deeper levels of relaxation. The purpose is to soften and release the grip and tension that may be present in our bodies, and to feel fully supported and held in each pose. This practice can deeply calm your nervous system and provide a sense of nourishment and ease. Restorative yoga is an all levels class.
No prior experience is necessary. Limited to 12 participants.
Eloise began practicing yoga in the early 2000s as a way to soften and unwind while training for a marathon. As yoga became a more integral part of her life, and marathon running faded into the background, she wanted to deepen her practice and enrolled in Circle Yoga's teacher training in 2017. Eloise later completed restorative yoga teacher training with Jillian Pransky at Kripalu, meditation teacher training with Tracee Stanley, and yoga for active aging through YogaWorks, and she is currently enrolled in a 600-hour Ayurveda health counselor training focused on holistic health and healing. Eloise is drawn to the more restorative and yin aspects of yoga and teaches the practices that have been most supportive and healing for her. Eloise serves as the Director of Finance at Circle Yoga, is part of the leadership team with Healing Circles Global, and is also a positive psychology coach.
