Yoga for Men

The merriment, exploration, and random acts of yoga have returned—Yoga for Men is back! The mission of this class is to provide a community for men to practice judgment-free yoga together and make connections not only with each other, but to their own bodies. We'll focus on supporting men's particular physical and mental needs, including building flexibility and strength, increasing mobility, improving balance and focus, and encouraging relaxation and stress relief. This class is usually a flow practice, where we'll move more dynamically through sequences of poses in rhythm with the breath. We'll experiment with some more advanced poses, but variations and props will be offered so that each student is able to practice at their own pace. Curiosity and questions are encouraged as well as a sense of play and wonder. We welcome a diverse range of yoga levels, but this class is not recommended for new Yoga Level 1 students or for Gentle or Chair Yoga students.
