Antoinette

Antoinette Lipani Solnik has a magical way of making yoga practitioners of all levels feel welcome and challenged when she offers a practice. She has been practicing yoga more than 20 years and teaching for the last five years. She was initially drawn to the vibrant community a yoga practice cultivates as well as the wonderful benefits of the breathwork of pranayama and the physical movement of asana. Over the years, yoga has helped her mature spiritually and has been a guide through many life changes, such as a career change from a senior manager of marketing to a registered nurse, and becoming a yoga instructor with an emphasis on yoga for cancer patients.

Antoinette received her yoga teacher certification through The Mindfulness Center in Bethesda, Maryland. She is currently advancing through Circle Yoga’s 300HR YTT and will graduate next Summer 2021 as a 500RYT. In addition to her yoga career, Antoinette is a registered nurse with more than 12 years of experience and has been an integral part in the cultivation of nurse resiliency at the Johns Hopkins Sibley Memorial Hospital and the Hopkins Enterprise through her work with the Johns Hopkins Hospital Office of Well Being.

It was a patient’s encouragement that led Antoinette to obtain her yoga teaching certification, but it was the mentorship of the late Jnani Chapman that led Antoinette to receive her certification for Yoga Therapy for Cancer and Chronic Illness in 2015. Since then Antoinette has taught the Yoga for Women with Cancer Experience class at Circle Yoga. Antoinette is passionate about creating programs for this population of women who are on the difficult journey of navigating a cancer diagnosis and treatment.
